Today I am thrilled to finally share Liz and Craig’s wedding! These two wed on one of the most perfect days in August and celebrated with a beautifully intimate ceremony and spirited reception at Mayfair Farms. Liz and Craig’s relationship has been four years in the making. They met while attending Seton Hall University in their Christian Spirituality class and, unbeknownst to them, the roots began to grow. Over time they drew closer to one another until they eventually started to date. Marriage was always the end goal for both of them and soon after dating they realized they had found their spouse. Their proposal story is quite simple, “I asked and she said yes. I am a lucky guy,” says Craig. And although the planning of a wedding can be a complicated task, the simplicity and clarity of their outlook on this event always remained. To Craig and Liz, their wedding was not about a day, but a lifetime; it wasn’t about them, but about their entire family; and it wasn’t about the details (although they were amazing) it was about God.

All of the guests gathered at Seton Hall University, back to the beginning, to witness these two exchange vows and become husband and wife. Not only were they surrounded by their family and friends, but SIX priests that have greatly impacted their lives and supported them on this journey. It was truly a sight to see everyone there celebrating and rejoicing with such an amazing couple. After the ceremony we photographed Craig and Liz walking around on campus and even made our way to the actual room where they first met in that Christian Spirituality class! It was the cutest thing to see these two running through the hallways in a suit and wedding dress trying to find that room. We only made one wrong turn – it’s not as easy as it may seem to navigate back to the same place from so many years before! But they both did find it and we captured some photos among the sea of desks and blank walls that I’m sure have witnessed many stories like Craig and Liz’s.

The celebrating came to life at the reception at Mayfair Farms where guests enjoyed an outdoor cocktail hour on the garden patio. Their wedding’s rustic theme was highlighted in all of the details in and around the ballroom. One of my favorite details was the customized wooden serving tray that the couple used as a guestbook for everyone to sign. I always love when couple’s find creative ways to execute these details of the day! Also, they even made homemade strawberry jam and honey for each guest to take home at the end of the night. Does it get any sweeter than that!? I had such a fun time witnessing and photographing this wedding, and I think you will see why from some of the moments highlighted below. Enjoy!
