Philosophy
Photography is a very special tool to me for one principle reason: it tells an entire story in an instant. Because of this amazing ability I believe it is so important to slow down and make slight adjustments to enhance the quality of a photo so that the composition of that image mirrors the perfection and joy you felt in the real moment.
My approach to a wedding day is driven by this mission: to align perception and reality. So often in life I have personally experienced moments that felt absolutely incredible, but what one see’s from the outside doesn’t parallel how amazing I truly felt. Some may alike this idea to wearing “rosy-colored glasses.” I believe it is simply my job to make the external circumstances match your emotional state. Every detail matters when you are given one single moment to convey a story and I have a vision for every one of them. I seek not only to capture real emotion in my images, but to ensure they are also composed in a way that accentuates your emotion using subtle techniques like lighting and posing.
