LAUREN & ROBERT

MARRIED  |  BALTIMORE COUNTRY CLUB, BALTIMORE MD

Lauren and Rob’s wedding day was one I had been looking forward to shooting for a very long time and I’m so excited to share their beautiful images! My husband, Joe, has been friends with Rob since they were born and it was such an honor for him to be asked to be Best Man for Rob. I was equally honored and excited when they asked me to shoot their wedding as well! We love these two dearly as if they are our own family, so spending the weekend with them in Maryland to participate in all the events was one extended celebration.

Ever since their engagement session in Alexandria, I knew (as a photographer) their wedding day would be epic, and it didn’t disappoint as a guest either. They chose to host their reception at the Baltimore Country Club, which was so grand and full of tradition. It was the perfect place for them and deeply reflected their values of bringing family and friends together in a place rooted in history and legacy. From the moment I arrived in the morning, everyone was so full of joy and anticipation to get these two to the church and finally celebrate their love and the vows they exchanged. Lauren, was full of poise and composure the whole morning. Her stunning Rosa Clara gown was the perfect blend of romance and sophistication, perfectly complimenting her personality, and Rob, of course, looked dapper as ever in his tux.

Their ceremony was held at Immaculate Conception Church, which had the most stunning interior architecture and echoed the instrumentals of Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring and Pachabel’s Canon. As Lauren and her Dad began the long walk down the aisle everyone took a glance back at Rob. His mom had reminded him at the rehearsal dinner to look up and thank God for his soon-to-be wife when he saw her for the first time at church. The entire ceremony was such a beautiful tribute to love and a reminder of what that love means in action, everyday. After sharing their vows and the final blessing they processed out and we headed to the venue for photos at the club.

Being early November, the foliage had turned to deep shades of orange, red and browns. It complimented the blues of the bridesmaid dresses so well and the black tuxes added a pop of contrast. The bridal party consisted of family and friends who all knew each other from various parts of Rob and Lauren’s life, which always means you are going to get a lot of jokes and laughing during portraits. I love these images we captured with them and had so much fun doing it too! Before heading to cocktail hour, we toured the club property taking photos of Rob and Lauren in many of the scenic locations. I could have photographed them all night, but we ended with an iconic shot of them with the venue in the background as we walked back to their guests and my heart was full!

Their reception was as grand, emotional, and full of surprises. Rob and Lauren’s first dance was exceptional AND included a full pick up and spin, dip and tons of twirls (aka a dream). Not only that, but Lauren also surprised Rob playing a song on the piano that she learned especially for this day. As in, she taught herself to play the piano for it. How incredible is she!? It truly was a wedding for the books and will definitely go down as one of my all time favorites. Cheers to the new Mr. and Mrs. Gallic! I look forward to all that this next chapter has in store for you and the many blessings to come!.
