CAITIE & ERIC

It’s been a long time coming and I’m thrilled to finally share Caitie and Eric’s gorgeous garden engagement session with you! This session was very special because we trekked back to the exact spot where Eric asked Caitie to be his wife and were able to capture beautiful portraits of them as they start their engagement journey together. There was SO MUCH prettiness happening at the Morris Arboretum I couldn’t even handle it! From the really cool fernery greenhouse to the manicured gardens, rolling hills and Oak lined alley, there were tons of amazing backdrops for this gorgeous couple.

From the very beginning there was a undeniable spark between Caitie and Eric. They found each other on Match.com and when Eric saw Caitie’s profile he knew there was something special about her. He also knew he had to step up his game, so he thought of the wittiest question he could think of to stand out from the crowd and to his surprise, she answered right away. They planned to meet up that week and found that they shared an instant chemistry. Perfect. The night flew by effortlessly and when they got ready to leave, Eric offered to walk Caitie to her car. She declined politely, not wanting to put him out of his way and longer in the cold than he had to be. Eric, plagued by the ever-black-and-white guy brain, unfortunately, took the decline in a very literal manner and was discouraged that, after what felt like a great night, Caitie actually wasn’t really into him. When he got home, his roommates asked him how his date went. Bummed, he responded, “I thought it went great until the end of the night when I asked her if I could walk her to her car and she said no… I guess I’m never seeing her again.”

I’m happy to say that he did see her again when he decided to ask Caitie on a real date a few days later. To Eric’s surprise, Caitie said “Yes, I would love to!” After that date, they were inseparable. Caitie got the guy of her dreams and Eric got the girl of his dreams (and he still is as chivalrous as ever)!

I cannot wait for their wedding at Indian Trail Club in June! It’s going to be an amazing day celebrating love and family. Congratulations Caitie and Eric!
